The University of Milan
"Noi Statale. A un anno dal via" (We, the University of Milan: One Year On) is the title of the event taking place on 30 March at 10.30 am in the Main conference room of the Via Festa del Perdono campus.
The event will bring together the university community to present the results of the first year of the University's governance and set out the main strategic priorities that will guide the University's actions in the years ahead.
The programme will open with a conversation between Rector Marina Brambilla and Venanzio Postiglione, Deputy Editor of Corriere della Sera, reflecting on the past year. The Rector will highlight the most significant milestones of the journey so far, as well as the challenges that lie ahead for the University.
Deputy Rector Giovanni Onida and Vice-Rectors Alessandro Banterle, Gian Battista Bischetti, Francesco Blasi, Silvana Castano, Paola Catenaccio, Monica Diluca, Mauro Di Giancamillo, Carlo Fiorio, Silvia Romani, Stefano Simonetta and Chiara Torre, as well as Director General Angelo Casertano, will then present the key objectives the University is currently pursuing through its various activities.
"I invite the university community to attend Noi Statale on 30 March so that we can come together after an intense year of work, take stock of the progress made, and reaffirm the goals of the Strategic Plan 2025–2030", says Rector Marina Brambilla. "Noi Statale is an opportunity to bring our community together and to thank all members of the University for their daily work, always upholding that collective 'we' that has guided our actions from the very beginning."
The event will conclude with a presentation of the Orchestra del Mare project, curated by Arnoldo Mosca Mondadori, followed by a performance by the Gli Archimisti ensemble, featuring violinists Nicola Paolicelli and Maria Cristina Rallo, violist Ilario Brutti and cellist Mitja Liboni. The musicians will play the "sea instruments" crafted in the workshop of Opera prison from the wood of migrants' boats. The programme includes performances of Goldberg Variations, BWV 988: Aria by Johann Sebastian Bach, Nuvole Bianche by Ludovico Einaudi, and Libertango by Astor Piazzolla.
